Yerik Bazarbayev defends M.S. Thesis

Yerik Bazarbayev successfully defended his M.S. thesis in the School of Nuclear Engineering.  His thesis is entitled, “Effect of surface treatments on radiation tolerance of ATI 718+ alloy”.  This work studied the role of laser shock peening (LSP) and ultrasonic nanocrystal surface modification (UNSM) on the irradiation-induced dislocation loop evolution in a high temperature Ni-base alloy.

Thank you to Drs. Gennady Miloshevsky and Robert Bean for their service on Yerik’s committee.  Congratulations, Yerik!
